Our Collective Chrysalis
Somehow, April feels like the first month of the rest of our lives.
Spring has always brought forsythia, crocuses, daffodils, color, light and joy.
But this year, as we emerge from our collective chrysalis, there is something else in the air. This year we are breathing the smell of freedom, of renewal, of boundless hope and opportunities untold. This is a spring like no other, it will be one for the ages.
While our shops are bustling and the beaches begin to fill with the adventurous, we look around and see that our towns have swelled with a population of people that share one thing in common above all else: People are here in the Hamptons because they simply want the most that life can offer for themselves and their loved ones.
Of course, this drama filled year has impacted the Real Estate market. For many, it was time to move on, or move up. But for some others, challenging times brought a commitment to make the Hamptons an ever more important part of their lives. And many have found new homes to fulfill that promise. The Real Estate market was off the chart. Off any chart. Off all charts.
It is our hope that as the world turns right, we will all focus less on where we were during Pandemic, and instead simply look around and appreciate where we ended up. Those of you that have found yourselves here with us in the Hamptons know how lucky you are. Because, if you’re lucky enough to have a home in the Hamptons, you’re lucky enough. |

Our Favorite Show Of The Month
|
We found great pleasure in TV’s new long form streaming series but as we look back over our past year nothing was more joyous, more inspiring, or more hopeful than The Queens Gambit.
Did you know?
It took writer and producer Allan Scott about thirty years to get this show into production. During that time, he rewrote the story nine times and approached several studios. Each studio rejected the show, as they believed that nobody would be interested in chess. Ironically, this show became the most viewed show on Netflix, attracting over 62 million viewers worldwide within a month after its debut.

Lobster Roll Named #1 For Foodies In
NY |
The eatery has gotten a nod from
OnlyInYourState.com, listed #1 in a list of the Top 15 restaurants for foodies
in New York: "Established in 1965, this iconic restaurant is hands down
the best place you can go for a lobster roll sandwich — outside of New England,
of course. The perfect place to stop if you're out visiting the Montauk
Lighthouse, the Lobster Roll is sure to give you a memorable dining
experience," the post said. Reopening for 2021 on April 30, the Lobster
Roll is seen in the Showtime series "The Affair," and has been a
go-to spot for years for many searching for the quintessential lobster roll on
the East End. |
