In addition to learning about succulent care and design, participants will enjoy tea and handmade floral cookies by a local baker. Molly will guide you through the process of creating a heart-shaped planter with mini succulent plants, offering a relaxing and therapeutic experience. Let’s Move, Willowdale: Move-a-thon & BBQ

The fun starts at Hendon Park at 11am with a walk, run and ride along the Finch Hydro Corridor with friends, family and neighbours, marshalled by We Run North York and Cycle Toronto!

Following the Move-a-thon there will be a BBQ beginning at 12pm with delicious food, entertainment, kids activities, crafts, caricature artists, prizes and much more!

All funds raised will go towards NeighbourLink and the North York Seniors Centre’s programs targeted at alleviating social isolation for the most vulnerable in our community

Harbourfront Centre is the place to be for family fun over the May long weekend! Toronto’s international children’s festival will showcase local and international performances from live theatre and dance to circus, music, storytelling and hands-on workshops. Offering free, pay-what-you-can and ticketed programming, Junior promises three days of play, imagination and fun at indoor and outdoor venues across Harbourfront Centre’s 10-acre waterfront location. A dedicated Enhanced Accessibility Day on May 19 features ASL/DSL interpretation, described audio and introductory notes, touch tours, a relaxed guide and “Zen Den” quiet spaces for select events.

Featuring: Natives, organics, pollinators, herbs & veggies, & hard to find plants. Plus, gently used gardening materials, free garden advice, info tables, & giveaways!

This is the main fundraiser for our horticultural society (a recognized not-for-profit) so shoppers can take pride in knowing that the money raised from their purchases will be going directly back into their community, to support all kinds of public gardens and greening initiatives.

Having trouble knowing what plants to put where? Have a pesky problem with something in your garden? Ask one of our garden experts to weigh in, free of charge.
