Program

Be swept away in a flurry of holiday magic as Ballet West presents America’s first and longest-running Nutcracker! An American pioneer in the world of dance, the Intermountain West’s preeminent company returns with one of the most visually striking productions of this seasonal family favorite.

Enter Clara’s dream world for the first (or hundredth!) time with this whimsical tale of a prince and evil Mouse King, dancing snowflakes and magic sleighs, and the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy. Grand sets and fantastical costumes alongside Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s cherished score and Willam Christensen’s dazzling choreography combine for a glittering visual spectacle packed with humor and holiday joy. Ballet West’s abundant energy and masterful execution pave the way for a mesmerizing, larger-than-life production that will renew your belief in magic and childhood dreams.

Ballet West will also join our 10,000 Dreams: A Celebration of Asian Choreography festival in 2024!
