FALL. This is the time of year that those of us that are lucky enough to have a home in The Hamptons divide into three distinct groups: Those that have moved their center of gravity back to the city, those that are organizing to head south for the winter, and those that have simply stayed. We spend a lot of time talking with friends and family about the choice we’ve made....to make the Hamptons our year-round home. Of course, as realtors, we have responsibilities to those that have entrusted us with selling their homes, and others that are counting on us to help them find their next adventure. |
But at the heart of our commitment to the Hamptons is our love of the Seasons, and Fall is our annual reminder of how dramatically different life out here can be as the calendar pages turn. But make no mistake, Fall is full of amazing cultural and social opportunities as our October calendar attests. So our message is this: if you're back in the city, come out and join us for a few more glorious weekends. And if you're heading south, consider putting it off longer this year than ever before. Your life will be richer for it.....Because if you’re lucky enough to be here in the Fall, you’re in for a glorious and colorful few months. |

We had house guests from California this week and found ourselves heading to LISA AND BILL’S Beach Lane farm stand for corn and tomatoes. It was the end of the day and they were sold out of basil, but implored us to just give them a minute to grab some from the field. (How wonderful is that!) |
Then off to THE SEAFOOD SHOP in Wainscott for our favorite jumbo shrimp. The point being that we are living here in the middle of some of the most fertile land and seas in the world and this is Harvest Season. HOME, for the best meals of all! |

The Most Fabulous Day of All |
There is simply nothing like it in all of the Hamptons. The WOLFFER ESTATE ANNUAL HARVEST PARTY. This year we have finally convinced our children to leave the city behind and join us for Barrel Rolling, grape-stomping, hayrides, pony rides, and mouth-watering international food stations. October 7th is the day. No tickets are sold on-site, so order your tickets right now, right here. |
This is, quite literally, the happiest, most wonderful, harvest celebration you could imagine. Every year we pinch ourselves and look around for the cameras, because you feel like you’re on a giant movie set. Yep, it’s really that good. We were lucky enough to break bread with Roman Roth, Wolffer’s illustrious Winemaker, a few weeks ago and were smitten by his larger-than-life personae. Yet another of the amazing characters that make the Hamptons.....The Hamptons. Click here to order your tickets. |

What to See?! How Lucky Are We!!! |
For over thirty years, our villages have come to life every October with THE HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. How lucky are we to have one of the World’s premier film festivals right here in our midst. Running this year from October 5-12, this year’s festival is packed with the films the world is talking about. Click here for details and to buy your passes.
Separately, if you haven’t seen OPPENHEIMER, it’s only playing in theaters for a few more days, and this is too big of a story to be told on even the largest of home TV’s. The story, startling. Cillian Murphy, mesmerizing. And our Main Street’s own Robert Downey Jr. will take your breath away with his much-talked-about Oscar-worthy performance. Click here to view the trailer. |
