....as well it should be with the first day of Spring just around the corner on March 19th. How lucky are we to have enjoyed one of the mildest Hampton winters in memory. As promised, we’re hard at work planning our new vegetable garden. We’ve got the plot plan finished, ordered the cedar for fencing and bricks for work paths. Our desk is brimming with inspiration photos. Importantly, we’ve assembled our notes from past harvests and are organizing our planting beds to maximize our yield because God knows there’s no place to buy vegetables around here in the summer! Of course, that’s not the point at all. We garden for the sheer joy of it…..and construction projects just seem to have a life of their own around here. Whatever promise Spring holds for you….be it hiking, biking, golfing, beach walks, gardening, or just getting out more…..lean into it with all you’ve got ‘cause if you’re lucky enough to enjoy Spring in the Hamptons, like us……you’re lucky enough. |

WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN.... |
This winter we’ve rediscovered CITTANUOVA (29 Newtown Lane, East Hampton.)
For decades Cittanuova has anchored East Hampton with consistently wonderful food and light breezy service. This may be one of the least pretentious restaurants in our midst. The menu leans Italian, with delightful pasta and salads……there’s even a special pizza menu. In the height of the summer season, the crowds will be dressed to the nines……so enjoy Cittnuova in the Spring when your biking clothes, gardening jeans, or hiking shoes will feel right at home.. |

We love the shaved brussels sprouts, cranberries, and apple salad. |

SO MUCH ENTERTAINMENT NEWS TO SHARE!
|
We just finished watching Jodie Foster in TRUE DETECTIVE Night Country on MAX. A dark story, to say the least, but Foster is nothing less than brilliant. (click here to watch the trailer) The frozen tundra will make your Spring Days feel all the more glorious!

The Hamptons has been the playground for Fashion elite for decades. Pictures of Halston at Andy Warhol’s legendary estate in Montauk abound. Richard Avedon hosted Fashion’s who’s-who for decades at his clifftop compound. Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Elie Tahari, Cindy Crawford and Steven Klein all still call The Hamptons home. But go back in time with us as we dive into the Apple TV+ series THE NEW LOOK. A stunning tale of how Coco Chanel and Christian Dior survived the Nazi Occupation of Paris and emerged as part of France’s rebirth as rival beacons of hope for the whole Fashion industry. THE ACADEMY AWARDS are Sunday March 10. What a year for movies!!!! The diversity issues have been addressed so profoundly, it may not even be a topic of discussion this year. Instead, we can enjoy celebrating Film itself and watch OPPENHEIMER go down in history while Main Street, East Hampton’s Robert Downey Jr walks away with “Best Supporting Actor” for his transcendent performance in that film. If you haven’t seen the film, you’re not allowed to watch the Oscars.. (Click here to see the trailer)
