About Sheri Hagerty

Sheri grew up in Raleigh and has had a front-row seat to its remarkable growth. She combines an insider’s knowledge of the market with an extraordinary work ethic and a singular commitment to customer service. Having had the privilege of working with many of the area’s custom builders in selling new construction throughout the Triangle, she is versed in new homes as well as green building and Energy Star-certified homes.

Sheri’s comprehensive understanding of Triangle trends and developments gives her clients a unique advantage in evaluating their options and making informed decisions. Through her extensive business network and her connections through Sotheby’s International Realty, she is an incredible asset when moving locally in the Triangle or anywhere in the world.

Always the consummate professional, Sheri has built a successful real estate team and career on one simple premise: To provide the best service imaginable. The success of that principle is reflected in the numerous accolades her business has received, including being nominated as one of the Top 25 REALTORS® in the Triangle by the Triangle Business Journal in 2012. In 2015, The Sheri Hagerty Group received the Top Residential Team Award from the Triangle Business Journal. In the beginning of 2018, Sheri was elected to the Luxury Home Marketing Group of the Triangle, a coalition of only 14 REALTORS® specializing in the luxury market who share knowledge and marketing expertise with each other and their clients.  Sheri and her team have been featured in Vanity Fair, Home Design & Decor, and Mansion Global. She is a host and producer of The American Dream, Selling the Triangle, a lifestyle TV show about the community and its residents. She is ranked among America's Best Realtors in the top 1.5% nationally, and in the top 15% locally.

Sheri has always been active in giving back to her community through her success. Sheri was the listing broker and lead sponsor for the DJF Builders’ Designer Showhome in 2017 benefitting The Boys & Girls Club of Wake County, an endeavor that ultimately earned the foundation upwards of $350,000.  Sheri and her team have been nominated two years in a row for Raleigh's Best Real Estate Team and Best Real Estate Agent.  She gives monthly to the Realtor Giving Network helping solve homelessness in North Carolina and A Place at the Table, a pay-what-you-can restaurant helping families suffering from food insecurity.  Sheri recently was one of 12 executives chosen to host 12 Rounds for Second Round. Second Round is a fitness-based intervention program run by Haven House Services that uses boxing and athletics as tools to help local youth find success inside and outside of the gym. Sheri is a member and supporter of CAM, The Contemporary Art Museum in the warehouse district of Raleigh, and a member of the Betty Eichenberger Adams Society (BEAS), CAM’s women-only membership group with the mission to generate, educate, and promote interest in contemporary art in Raleigh and beyond.  She is also a member of WPO, Women's Presidents Organization. In 2023 Sheri was named one of the “40 over 40” women by The KNOW Organization, for creating a life-changing impact in her community, furthering the future of women in business, dominating in her field, and developing new opportunities through innovation, determination, and persistence. 

Sheri received her education in New York City from The Fashion Institute of Technology in the early nineties. She now lives in Raleigh and has been a leader in her industry since 2005. She is the mother of one son who graduated from Broughton High School, studied abroad for a year, and is currently attending North Carolina State University.
