Robert Houle: Red is Beautiful
For Robert Houle, color is powerful, expressive, and lies at the foundation of his artistic practice. The National Museum of the American Indian presents the first major retrospective designed to Houle, an indigenous artist known for masterfully blending Western and ancient traditions in his contemporary works. Visitors can marvel at more than 50 years of Houle's creativity, including paintings pierced by porcupine quills and historic scenes reimagined from an indigenous perspective. Learn more below:

Love is in the Air
Philips After 5 is a monthly, after-hours event curated by the Philips Collection. For this month, sing your heart out with The Regular and District Karaoke, try cocktails with Oishii Farms, strawberries and treats from The Chocolate House, listen to indie band Broke Royals. All this set in an intimate setting, with superb works of modern arts including Renoir, Rothko, Bonnard, O'Keefe, van Gogh, and so many more artists who's works fill the museum's distinctive building. Crêpe Days: Celebrate La Chandeleur!
Le Chandeleur, also known as Crêpe Day, marks the halfway point between winter and spring. In France, families celebrate by eating crêpes, which are round and golden just like the springtime sun. Celebrate this holiday in festive and French fashion, which will include tales inspired by French fables, plate decorating, and docent-led gallery talks. Learn more below.

1964: The Tribute
On February 9, 1964, The Beatles made their first US television appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. More than 70 million Americans watched as the four lads from Liverpool made history. Commemmorate the 60th anniversary of this monumental event with 1964: The Tribute. Hailed as the "best Beatles tribute on Earth" (Rolling Stone), 1964: The Tribute recreates an early '60s live Beatles concert with period instruments, clothing, hairstyles, and onstage banter.

Mardi Gras at The Wharf
An inimitable tradition, bring your beads and join The Wharf for their free Mardi Gras Parade and Party. This community-wide event features a lively mile-long parade down Wharf Street, complete with stilt walkers, decorated floats, and the King and Queen of Mardi Gras. Guests can enjoy live music, while sipping on Hurricanes made with Trasher's Rum. Don't miss the fireworks salute closing out the night with a dazzling display over the water. Learn more below:
