Bladder Cancer Awareness Walk

The Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness Walk takes place in communities across Canada on September 22, 2019. The walk is one of Bladder Cancer Canada’s (BCC) main sources of funding, but also serves as a vehicle to spread awareness and a venue to bring those affected by bladder cancer together for a common cause. Thousands of volunteers, walkers, donors, and sponsors helped us to raise nearly $600,000 in 2018. Join us this September as we endeavor to raise even more. Donate, volunteer, or collect pledges and walk with us.

The Flying Machine

Hercinia Arts is proud to be returning to Flagstaff Park with Arts in the Parks to present our Aerial Acrobatic show The Flying Machine.

An outdoor aerial show dedicated to finding whimsy and imagination in every audience member, young and old. Created as an ode to steampunk, using aerial rope (corde lisse), lyra, stilt dance and dance trapeze, the quirky Professor Leedle Deedle Beedle takes her audience on a tour of her latest and most spectacular “flying” inventions.

Directed by Zita Nyarady. Created and performed by Vanita Butrsingkorn, Kirsten Edwards and Natalie Parkinson Dupley.

This is an in-person physically distanced performance at the North East side of the Park. For the health and safety of everyone involved, pre-registration is required. If you are attending in person, we ask that you respect the distancing protocols at all times and bring a face mask. Hand sanitizer and PPE will also be available at the entrance to the event.

If registration fills up, or for those who would prefer to watch from home, we will also be live streaming via Facebook on Friday September 11th and via Instagram on Saturday September 12th. Follow us at @herciniarts for updates.

Friday September 11 – Sunday September 13 at 6:30pm.
